Episode 2.2

The show opens with a short recap of last night's episode, then takes us to the Jest Camp, where all the charmings have managed to catch up with one another, but are having difficulty finding the flag marker!



The Note. After a lot of searching, back-tracking, and trash-can flipping, Marc A. is finally the first to find the flag marker, and retrieve the pink, heart-shaped note placed below the flag.



The note reads: Sa gitna ng kawalan, kaya mo bang silbihan ang love princess mo? Patunayang maabilidad kayong mga prince charming sa pamamagitan ng paggawa ng apoy. Hanapin ang master jungle guide para magpaturo at kumain ng... isang surprise treat! And the surprise treat turns out to be... frogs!

Misguided. The rest of the charmings soon find the marker and read the instructions, but unfortunately, TJ, Marc A., Gian, Alwyn, Carlo, and Janus end up asking for help from the wrong guides!

Luis (voiceover): Eto naman sila ni Janus, kulitan parin ang inaatupag.

Anne (voiceover) Parang nagpipiesta. Mali naman ang pinuntahan nilang guide.



Anne (voicever): Finally, sinabihan sila na mali ang kanilang pinuntahan, kaya naman, nagka-riot.

Janus: Akala namin, yung pinuntahan namin yung tamang jungle... tarzan... firemaker. Na-windang kaming lahat.

Luis: Ayan, sige... hindi kasi ninyo hinanap ng mabuti. Tabla na uli ngayon ang lahat ng magka-ribal na prince charmings. Silang lahat ay nasa tamang guide na.

Lighting the Fires. As the charmings work feverishly to light their fires and cook their frogs, the princesses arrive to visit them, and offer support and encouragement.



Frog Eating. Carlo was the first to get his fire going, and the first to complete the frog-eating task and leave for the beach. At that point, the Love Princesses also left to return to the beach and await the return of their charmings.

Soon after, Marc B., Marc A., Jawe, and Gian completed their frog-eating assignments, but Gian's van encounters engine trouble and would not start.

As the show ends, our hosts ask: Who will be the winners in this Race of Hearts? as we see scenes from tomorrow's episode, back on Nabasan beach.

Episode 2.1

Mr. Qpido reveals his remaining choices.

JILL
Her choice --> Carlo. Mr. Qpido's choice --> Alwyn

Jill reacts: Kaya ko siya gusto, dahil super funny siya.
Alwyn: Si Jill? Mabait, makulit, magaling makisama.

ISABEL
Her choice --> Felix. Mr. Qpido's choice: Gabb

Isabel: Okay naman.. parang Jericho and Kristine. Tisay and moreno. Parang ang ganda ng tambalan. Kasi nga... parang na-aliw ako... kasi parang gusto kong anuhin si Felix eh... pero... kausapin mo naman ako! Hindi niya ako kinakausap eh.

ANDREA
Her choice --> Marc B. Mr. Qpido's choice: Mhyco

Andrea: Siyempre hindi ko ine-expect. Hindi ko naman siya kasama sa pictorial. So nagulat ako, bigla nalang nag-enter si Mhyco.

HAZEL
Her choice --> Mhyco. Mr. Qpido's choice: Dominic

Dominic: Sana we spend more time with each other para we get to know each other better.

PAW
Her choice --> TJ. Mr. Qpido's choice: Mikel

Paw: Nakyu-kyutan nga ako. Parang bagay naman kami ni Mikel. Hindi ko naisip nung-first.
Mikel: Parang... that just boosted my confidence... just a bit.

Four princes bid goodbye. Aaron, Cholo, Mike, and Timmy each take turns sharing their thoughts as they bid goodbye to the show.


ABS-CBN chooses. Hosts Anne and Luis then explain that ABS-CBN Management will be making the final decision as to which prince gets to be the final choice for each princess. When only 9 pairs are left, viewers will then determine the ultimate loveteam via text votes.



In the meantime, the charmings have to prove themselves worthy of their princess via another series of LOVEntures.

The Race of Hearts. Anne and Luis are shown standing on the beach as they explain the mechanics of the next LOVEnture.



In this race, the princes must compete for the opportunity to have an exclusive date with their Love Princess. Because some of the Charmings have more than one loveteam partner, they will have to perform the race twice. They'll have the advantage of knowing the race better the second time around, but they'll also be more tired.

The winner of the race gets a date with his love princess. The loser becomes the alalay of the princess and her winning prince.

The Love Combat. The race starts at Nabasan beach, then moves to the Jest Camp, and then returns again to the Nabasan beach.



At each of the three stops, there is a LOVEnture that the Charmings must complete. The first LOVEnture is a measure of Strength -- the Love Combat.

In this test, competing charmings are taken offshore where a beam is floating on the ocean. The charmings must get on the beam and use jousting sticks to throw their opponent off balance. The winning prince can then claim a rose from the end of the beam and return to shore, where he must give the rose to his princess to obtain instructions for the next step. The loser gets a 5-minute penalty and must wait in the water by the beam before claiming his rose and returning to shore to get the next clue.

TJ vs. GIAN --> TJ wins

Pauleen: We were expecting Gian to win because he's bigger, but TJ won.

MARC B. vs. MHYCO --> Mhyco wins

Andrea: I enjoyed the LOVEnture because it added spice to the contest.

JANUS vs. MIKEL --> Janus wins

Carla: Yung mga prince charming... medyo naging hindi charming... dahil nagsalpukan sila.
Janus: Naghahampasan kami ng mga higanteng cotton buds. Tapos, tinamaan ko siya sa face. Tapos sabi niya -- #@$@! ka! Tapos nung natamaan ko siya sa face, nasira daw yung shades niya.

MARC A. vs. JAWE --> Marc A. wins

Karel: Si Marc... kitang kita ko from the start, na siya ang parating on the go, siya talaga ang gustong manalo.

ALWYN vs. CARLO --> Carlo wins

Jill: Kawawa si Alwyn, kasi 5 minutes siyang nakababad muna dun sa tubig.

The Drive to the Jest Camp. After claiming the instructions from their Love Princess, the charmings race to the parking lot where vans await to take them to The Jest Camp. But it seems that most of the drivers have no idea where the camp is.

Despite the time difference of five minutes, the charmings all eventually meet up at the Jest Camp because they got lost on the way, and then had difficulty looking for the flag marker.

As the show ends, we see sneak previews into the next episode, where our Princesses pay a visit at the Jest Camp.

CF's Note: It was great to see Anne again! Total runtime for this episode (without commercials) was around 18 minutes.

Qpids 4th Date!

The show opens with a recap of the previous night. We see scenes from the Tiger Safari adventure of Batch 3, and a few scenes from the snake pictorial last night.

The Cayman Crocodile Pictorials. The princesses who posed with the baby cayman crocodile were:

Carla, with partners Cholo and Janus


Karel, with partners Jawe and Gian


Jill, with partners Alwyn and Timmy


The Ostrich Pictorials didn't push through because the ostrich was just too vicious. So the remaining pairs went back to the cayman crocodile.

Mr. Qpido Announces His Choices.. Night has fallen, and the entire cast is gathered in front of a campfire as Direk Lauren walks forward.

He says -- Today, you had an opportunity to bond during our LOVEntures. You all got a chance to get to know each other better. And while all this was going on, I was studying and observing you to see who would be suitable as your partners.



Direk continues -- As I said before, just because you like a person, it doesn't mean they would be suitable as your loveteam partner. Sometimes, it's just gut feel -- the gut feel of a director who thinks a pairing will work. So now, I will reveal my choices, with the Blue Bear -- Mr. Qpido's choice.

KAREL
Her choice --> Marc A. Mr. Qpido's choice --> John Wayne

Direk explains: The roughness of Jawe's personality compliments Karel.

VANESSA
Her choice --> Marc C. Mr. Qpido's choice --> Carlo

Vanessa: Feeling ko, ayaw niya talaga sa akin. Ayoko naman ng may ka-loveteam na hindi happy.
Carlo: Mas komportable ako kay Vanessa. Kasi siya yung salita ng salita. E kasi, minsan ako, bigla nalang ako tatahimik eh. Tapos kanina, nagtampo siya, kasi akala niya ayoko. Sabi ko, masaya ako.

CARLA
Her choice --> Mikel. Mr. Qpido's choice --> Janus

Direk explains: Masarap silang panoorin, kasi masaya silang tingnan. Kalog sila. Barok ang dating ni Janus. Wacky si Carla, on the sosyal side.
Mikel's reaction: Yes, I'm threatened. Because Janus for me is the ultimate rival.

PAULEEN
Her choice --> Gian. Mr. Qpido's choice --> TJ

Direk explains: Si TJ, tahimik na may pagkaseryoso. Si Pauleen madaldal. So personality nila, baka mag-gel.

As the show ends, host Luis tells us that Mr. Qpido's choice for the remaining princesses (Jill, Paw, Isabel, Hazel, and Andrea) will be revealed on Monday.

The show opens with a recap of the previous night. We see the mysterious Mr. Qpido finally arrive and scenes from the first two batches who went on the tiger safari.

The Safari continues. Batch 3 then takes their turn on the tiger safari. Cast members for Batch 3 were: Jill, Paw, Andrea, Alwyn, Mikel, Timmy, Felix, Dominic, Marc C.



After the safari, Mr. Qpido had another task for the Princes and Princesses. They were led to another part of the zoo, where they were told that each princess will have a pictorial with two princes of Direk Lauren's choice. The results of the pictorial will help Direk Lauren narrow down his final choice for each princess.

Since the cast members were all used to the pictorial process, a small twist was introduced to make the activity more interesting. Each princess was asked to draw slips of paper from a bowl, and on the slips of paper was written the type of animal each princess had to pose with: an albino snake, a baby cayman crocodile, or an ostrich.

Snake Pictorial. The princesses who were to pose with the albino snake are:

Hazel, with partners Mike and Mhyco


Andrea, with partners Felix and Dominic


Isabel, with partners Marc B. and Gabb
Isabel's pictorial with Marc B. was not completed, so there was no final photo with him.

Boogaloo Boogaluv on MRS

A few of the Qpids cast members were on today's MRS episode for a dance number. This episode was entitled entitled Boogaloo Boogaluv, and featured British pop duo Soul Control.

Present were: Hazel Ann Mendoza, Janus del Prado, Vanessa Gomez, Marc Cortez, Gabb Drilon, and Carla Loren.

The episode opens with a recap of the previous night's episode. We see scenes where the Love Princesses choose their Prince Charming, the Love Bus, and scenes from when everyone was arriving at the Zoobic Safari.



Some of the cast members share their thoughts about that surprise gathering.

Alwyn -- we thought that it was all over and that they were meeting us to give us our final words, but it turns out there will be a twist.

Paw -- when I first saw them I thought they were dancers (laughs), because they were all on stage and some of them had colored hair.

Mikel -- I wasn't expecting them to be there, and then I saw Alwyn and Janus clowning around.

Marc C -- when I saw the 'losers', I was wondering what they were doing there... and then I realized -- it meant they still had a chance.

Luis then greets the 9 couples and says -- I'm sure you're wondering why you're all here. Your love princesses may have chosen you, but the question is -- are you really the best choice for them? Only one person can answer that question... and he's about to arrive.

Mr. Qpido arrives. We see the black jaguar with "Mr. Qpido" on the license plate pull up in front of the safari, and someone gets out of the car.

As Mr. Qpido walks in, Luis says -- Now everyone, please welcome acclaimed director and starmaker expert, our Qpido, Direk Laurenti Dyogi!. Direk Lauren enters the room to the cheers of the cast and crew.

Direk Lauren then announces -- Mga love princess at prince charming. Nagsisimula palang ang inyong love stories. The pairs that we created last night are not final. In showbiz, just because you like each other doesn't mean you're a perfect match. So today, we'll be giving each prince charming a chance to bond with our princesses.



In their interviews, the cast members share their reaction...



Janus -- I was shocked. I was in awe. Nagulat ako. Siyempre, akala ko uuwi na ako, pero hindi pa pala.

Karel -- Okay lang sa akin yan, kasi we had our own choice as to sino ang lalaking feel namin. But we trust Direk also and alam naman namin na may balance yan.

Vane -- 'Di ako masyado happy, pero okay lang. Pero kinabahan ako. Baka iba ang magustuhan niya para sa akin.

Tiger Safari. Luis then explains that Direk Lauren will joining them on their next LOVEnture. To prepare for the LOVEnture, everyone will take turns riding a jeep through the tiger safari. During this safari, Direk Lauren will be observing everyone and based on what he sees, he will decide which two princes will join each princess in the next LOVEnture.

Direk explains why -- in romantic movies, one of the highlights is always a situation where the leading man and the leading lady are placed in a tight, confined space -- like the safari jeep. Then suddenly, there will be tension, like the arrival of the tiger. We were hoping we would get to see if there are romantic sparks and reactions from any of the princesses and princes.

Mr. Qpido divided the group into three batches. For each batch, each of guys will have their chance to sit next to the princesses.

Batch 1 - Karel, Carla, Vanessa, Carlo, Gian, Marc A., Jawe, Janus, and Cholo.


Batch 2 - Pauleen, Hazel, Isabel, Mhyco, TJ, Marc B., Arron, Gabb, Michael

The episode ends with a sneak peak into tomorrow's episode, where we will see the adventures of Batch 3, and Direk Lauren announces the princes that he chooses for each of the princesses.

Episode 1.2

The show opens with a recap of the previous night's episode. We see scenes from the Tug of Love, the slingshot scenes, and scenes from the First Dance.

Then the focus returns to the stage where Luis and Anne are standing on either side of a large chest. Luis says -- now it's time for our Princesses to choose from among the Prince Charmings. But first...



Luis opens the chest to reveal 9 pink Qpids teddy bears inside. The Princesses step forward and each get one bear from the chest. That's when it is revealed that each bear has a number attached. And the number will determine which Princess gets to choose her Prince Charming first.

Each princess was asked to step forward, explain why she was choosing her Prince, and then reveal who he is. Here is the actual sequence:

Pauleen. I'm choosing him because he's mabait and I think it would be great if I got to know him better --> Gian.



Andrea. I'm choosing him because most of my friends think we look good as a couple. Even if we don't have yet a friendship and have not talked a lot, I'm sure if we work things out we will make a good career as a loveteam --> Marc B.



Hazel. I'm choosing him because I'm really comfortable with him. And I don't often get a chance to be with him, so I will grab this opportunity --> Mhyco.



Carla. I'll be giving this bear to someone who's not as fat as this bear. Actually, he's the opposite of this bear. I chose him because he makes me laugh. And I'm comfortable with him. And he knows my mom. And he already chose me because I'm tall and no one else is as tall as I am --> Mikel.



Karel. I wanted to choose someone I'm comfortable with. I have a lot of friends here whom I've worked with before. But since tonight I really enjoyed dancing with him, I will choose him --> Marc A.



Vanessa. I'm choosing him because he's mabait, cute, and sweet sa akin --> Marc C.



Jill. I'm choosing him because I think he's cute. And I want a guy who's quiet and great with a guitar. Carlo Aquino, you're my bear! --> Carlo.



At this point, the scene shifts to Paw and you can see she is disappointed to hear that Jill had chosen Carlo, because she had wanted to choose him also. Then it's now Paw's turn to choose.

Paw. We didn't really get a chance to get together or know each other. But I'm choosing him because I think we will get along very well --> TJ



The scene shifts to an interview of Jill, who says -- I spoke to Paw and I kept apologizing to her. I didn't know that she had wanted to pick Carlo also. But she said it was okay because in the end she was happy with her choice.

Isabel. The guy I'm choosing is someone I've not really talked with yet... puro alaska and asaran lang... But he's really funny and that's what I really like in a guy. So I choose --> Felix



The 9 couples that had just been formed gathered together on one side of the stage. And Luis turns to the 9 who were not chosen and tells them that for tonight, the story has ended for them.

On the Love Bus. The 9 pairs all get on a bus the next day and head off to an unknown location. While they're on the bus, we get a quick look at the couples and see whether or not there's any chemistry there.



The scene then changes to the 9 princes in Team B, who had not been picked by the Princesses the night before. They too are on board another vehicle and are shown arriving at Zoobic Safari, where they are greeted by Luis. Later, the 9 couples arrive and they are obviously surprised to see the 9 princes of Team B already there waiting for them. And it quickly becomes obvious to everyone that the losing princes were not yet out of the game, and the plot was about to take another twist.



Luis greets the 9 couples and says -- I'm sure you're wondering why you're all here. Your love princesses may have chosen you, but the question is -- are you really the best choice for them? Only one person can answer that question... and he's about to arrive.

Just as Luis finishes talking, we see a black jaguar arrive with the license plate "Mr.Qpido", and someone alights from the vehicle.



We then see scenes from tomorrow's episode, and it looks like they're going on a safari trip.
