--------------

Part 1. The show opens with hosts Anne Curtis and Luis Manzano sitting together on a motorcycle in front of the ABS-CBN Offices, reminiscing about the great love teams of the past and present, while scenes from the loveteams flash on a building wall. Anne then poses the question -- Who do you think will be the next great loveteam? That's the mission of Qpids!

The scene changes to our hosts sitting on a park bench, and they explain -- In the coming weeks, we're all going to be part of the creation of new loveteams. We start with our 9 love princesses, who will get to choose who they'd like to be paired with from among 18 prince charmings. From there, we will have 9 pairs that will be in the race to be the next hottest loveteam. At this point, the viewers will begin playing an important role -- because the viewers will be the ones to choose which pair gets to move forward in the show. Every week, a loveteam will be removed based on text votes.

In the end only one loveteam will remain... but first, each of the loveteams must prove themselves worthy of staying in the show. They will be tested in a series of "LOVEntures", which will be full of fun, sadness, pain, fear, and of course, kilig.

Part 2. We then see a series of scenes from upcoming episodes, which gives us some idea of what these loventures will be like.

Then our hosts explain -- through these LOVEntures, we'll get to see the chemistry and charisma of our loveteams, and this will help us choose. It will be exciting for us to be the 'Qpids' that will launch the next great loveteam.

Part 3. A limousine is shown pulling up to the set, and the Prince Charmings were introduced.

Once the princes have all arrived, the Love Princesses enter in horse-drawn carriages. They walk past the princes, and take their seats at 9 separate tables nearby.

Part 4. The Race. Anne and Luis then explain that each Prince now had a chance to express his interest in a particular Princess. The 9 princesses were seated at separate tables, and each table had two empty chairs. Since each princess only had two chairs, it was important for the princes to race to the table of the girl of his choice. Anne tossed a rose into the air to signal the start of the race, and the guys were off.

Apparently, the purpose of the race was to divide the guys into two groups. All the princes who were seated to the right of each princess belonged to Team A, while each prince seated to the left of their princess belonged to Team B.

Each team must now compete for the right to dance with their respective princesses in the first LOVEnture -- the Tug of Love.

The princes took the time to remove their jackets, roll up their sleeves, and prepare themselves for the test. It only took seconds of pulling before Team A clearly won the first LOVEnture.

Part 5. With the 9 princes in Team A victorious in the Tug of Love, they now had a chance to dance with the princess of their choice. But who gets to choose first? To decide, Team B gets a chance to fire slingshots at the photos of Team A's princes. The prince whose photo is the first to be broken will be the last to choose. The prince whose photo is the last to be broken will be the first to choose from among the 9 ladies.

After a few rounds with the slingshot, all the photos were broken, and Team A's princes were able to choose the princesses, in this order:
  • Mhyco chose Hazel
  • Carlo chose Paw
  • Marc B. chose Isabel
  • Mikel chose Carla
  • Gabb chose Pauleen
  • Marc A. chose Karel
  • Marc C. chose Vanessa
  • Michael chose Andrea
  • Janus chose Jill

With Team B looking on, the princes of Team A led their princesses to the dance floor and enjoyed their first dance to the song "True" (by Ryan Cabrera), where they were joined by hosts Luis and Anne. As the song played, the dance floor scenes were interspersed with interviews of the cast members talking about their experiences dancing with their partners.

Wrap-up. After the song ended, Luis and Anne wrapped up the episode and then posed this question -- After such a great start, how will the story end for our couples? Who will the princesses choose to be their prince? Which prince will win the heart of his princess? And which prince will lose? We will all find out together on Qpids!

--------------

The sneak peak into tomorrow's episode showed the princesses revealing their choices, and the surprise arrival of "Mr. Qpido".

Thank you po for your suggestion.

I actually thought about putting a tagboard when I first created the site. Kaya lang I finally decided not to because I don't like the way older comments disappear when newer ones are posted in a tagboard.

Plus, if I put a tagboard on the sidebar, there will only be one tagboard for all the pages of this site -- which can be confusing. Blogger does require more steps to post comments, but it keeps track of comments for each page.

Anyway, if you have other suggestions for how to improve the blog, I'm always open to hearing them. Thanks again!
